After you have worked with our sales associate, to choose a stone - the size and color of granite - we will provide you with a comprehensive estimate, which will include a breakdown of the cost of the granite, the foundation, sandblasting and or laser work, installation, and any additional products, such as vases, porcelains, or an autobiography. Then, the design process will begin; we will work as a team to help you layout how you would like your memorialization to look. Part of this process is to provide you with a printed proof of your design; once you have approved this proof, and paid a minimum of half down, we can begin the process of your memorial. We also offer payment plans if needed.

complete the foundation

During our meeting with you, we will obtain as much information as possible about the cemetery in which your memorial will be placed. We will verify the number of plots, location, placement, and work with a township trustee within the cemetery to have the plots laid out so that either we, or the cemetery, can dig and pour the foundation. We will make sure that the foundation gets completed by us, or, gets ordered to be done through the cemetery’s process, and then let you know when it has been completed. Township cemeteries, for example, Scioto Township Cemeteries: Greenlawn Chillicothe, Grandview, and St. Margaret’s, do their own foundations, and have their own pricing, as well as regulations. We have an excellent rapport with the cemeteries that do their own foundation work, and work closely with them to make sure our clients’ foundations are completed. For the cemeteries in which we dig and pour our own foundations, trustees are contacted to mark and layout the plots, verify all appropriate information, and then we complete the foundations in a timely manner; furthermore, we meet or exceed all cemetery standards, and, our foundation work is guaranteed.

sandblast the monument

Production: Once your monument has made it to the top of the production list, and we have double checked that your proof is approved, we can begin the sandblasting process. We sandblast all of our stones in-house by our sandblasters. First, the stencil is plotted, then cut, then applied to the stone. The lines that get sandblasted are then plucked. The stone is placed in the sandblasting booth to be sandblasted and monitored carefully. Once completed, the monument is painted with litho, and the stencil is removed. The monument is then cleaned and carefully wiped down and run through a quality control check process to be prepared for installation.

set the monument

Installation: If everything is in order - the balance is paid in full, and the monument has passed the quality control process - it is ready for installation. The final stage for the memorial is installation. We load the monuments into the setting cart, take them to the appropriate cemeteries, along with any vases or other additional accessories, and install the memorial in the proper location, and facing the correct direction. Sometimes this process has to be verified and double-checked with our office, or even family members; however, we work hard to make sure it is done beautifully for your first viewing.
